Linda (Baughn) O’Bryan Obituary, Death – Rockport, Indiana, mourns the passing of Linda (Baughn) O’Bryan, a beloved member of the community, who peacefully departed on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Transcendent Healthcare South in Boonville, Indiana. Born on October 12, 1950, in West Louisville, Kentucky, Linda was the daughter of the late James Elvis Baughn and Aleene (Howell) Baughn. A dedicated homemaker, Linda’s warm presence extended beyond the walls of her home, as she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Rockport, Indiana.

Her commitment to her family and community defined her life, leaving an enduring impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O’Bryan, and her brothers, Ronald Baughn and Roger Dale Baughn. The void left by their departures is felt deeply by the community that held Linda dear.

Linda’s memory is lovingly carried forward by her surviving siblings: Edna Hoosier of Rockport, IN; Ruth Ann Besing and her husband, Larry, of Hatfield, IN; James Wayne Baughn and his wife, Margie, of Owensville, IN; Rickie Joe Baughn and his wife, Donna, of Newburgh, IN; Gary Allen Baughn of Richland, IN; and Michael Anthony Baughn of Evansville, IN. Linda’s legacy is further enriched by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

Services to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 12 P.M. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. The funeral home will open its doors for visitation at 10 A.M., providing an opportunity for friends and well-wishers to pay their respects and share memories of a life well-lived.
