Look up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Matt Cohen!
Earlier this week, The CW revealed that Superman will be appearing in the second season of Supergirl. Since then, viewers have been voicing their opinion about who should take on the iconic role. One name stands out in particular and that name is: Matt Cohen.
A large majority of fans have spoken out in favour of Matt and we couldn’t agree more with their choice. We’re certain that Matt Cohen would make an absolutely fantastic Superman. Over the years, he’s proven his versatility as an actor time and time again.
Matt is currently gracing our screens as doctor Griffin Monro in General Hospital. The handsome actor is also well known for his youthful portrayal of John Winchester in Supernatural and he previously starred as Levi Sutter in How To Get Away With Murder.

After reading Matt’s tweets, it’s clear that he’s genuinely overwhelmed by all of the lovely messages of support. Some individuals have even designed their very own artwork.
Fans are understandably passionate that Matt is right for the role of Superman and the campaign truly speaks for itself. The power of fandom should never be underestimated.
With the casting of Superman currently under way, anything could happen so make sure your voice is heard online. The final decision, of course, ultimately lies with Supergirl’s casting director David Rapaport and the show’s incredible production team.
The second season of Supergirl will premiere on The CW this fall. Superman is set to appear in the first two episodes and we seriously can’t wait to see who’ll be playing him.
