A 24-year-old occupational therapist has died following a fierce battle with gastric cancer.

Noorline Zareh was diagnosed with stage four gastric signet ring cell adenocarcinoma on June 7 2022.

Her diagnosis came just one month after she graduated with a bachelor of health sciences and a masters in occupational therapy.

She had just landed her dream job “dedicating her life to helping others find hope and independence”.

Her devastated family have revealed that Noorline had been unable to tolerate any food or fluid since March 2023 and was solely reliant on IV nutrition.

Two weeks after her diagnosis she was told she had cancer in both of her ovaries and fertility preservation was no longer an option.

Despite her deteroriating health Noorline remained hopeful and continued to do positive affirmationstil her death. on August 17.

Heartbreakingly her family have revealed that Noorline’s last word was the same as her first, “mama”.

Noorline’s father Nuri Zareh told The Advertiser his daughter would “hide her extensive pain from her disease to not upset us”.

“She cared so much for us,” he said.

Noorline’s mum Jackie Zareh, 54, said her daughter was a “presence of positivity, happiness and hope no matter what”.

“No matter what she was going though herself, she would always help others with advice,” she said.

Noorline underwent four major open abdominal surgeries and three laparoscopic surgical procedures alongside aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

“She kept trying to fight and hold on up until her breathing and confusion worsened to the point where, we as a family, gave her the courage to let go and no longer suffer, and finally be at peace,” her brother Jonar said.

Tragically Mr and Ms Zareh’s business, a hair salon called J & N Hair and Beauty, took a significant financial hit as they abandoned the business to be with their daughter.

Noorline started a GoFundMe to relieve the financial pressure on her parents.
